About The Position

We're hiring compassionate, dependable Home Health Aides (HHA) for ongoing care positions providing essential in-home support to our clients. This role is ideal for caregivers who are passionate about helping others maintain their comfort, dignity, and independence at home while building meaningful connections with the people they care for. Caregivers in this role will assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and other daily personal care needs, as well as provide light housekeeping, companionship, and assistance with everyday activities to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment. Current schedule available is 16 hours per week, with shift times to be determined (TBD) . We are looking for caregivers who are reliable, patient, and committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to those who depend on it. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Certified CPR
  • Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
  • Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance (proof of insurance is required)
  • Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
  • Ability to adhere to HIPAA and ensure confidentiality and security of the client's medical information
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively
  • Up-to-date vaccinations including COVID-19, Influenza, and Hepatitis B

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one (1) year of documented home care assistance and/or direct care experience at an assisted living or skilled nursing facility, etc.
  • Successful completion of a nursing assistant or certified home health aide program

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene.
  • Support safe mobility and transfers while assisting the client with movement and positioning.
  • Assist with light housekeeping, companionship, and other daily living activities to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to ensure client comfort, dignity, and well-being.
  • Monitor and report any changes in the client's condition to supervisors or case managers.
  • Follow the established care plan and maintain clear communication with the care team.
  • Provide client-facing care as assigned
  • Provide assistance with daily tasks as directed in the client's personalized plan of care, including but not limited to: feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, providing transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping
  • Provide companionship, personal and hygiene care as directed in the client's personalized plan of care, including but not limited to: bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, toileting activities, and assisting with measurements, if necessary
  • Assist clients with active and passive mobility work defined by the plan of care, and document observed changes to the Director of Nursing
  • Adhere to the policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency of employment
  • Adhere to HIPAA laws and ensure confidentiality and security of the client's medical information
