About The Position

The Custom Mobility Assembly Technician works closely with the Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) and the Custom Mobility team to ensure proper assemblies, fittings, and repairs of equipment. This position will service, repair, and assemble durable medical equipment (DME) according to the most current manufacturers specifications. This position will also be responsible for effective communication between involved departments and patient families, including completing all required documentation. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to use required tools.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Manual dexterity to put parts together quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to assemble small parts and calibrate precise measurements.
  • Must be eligible to drive a Cook vehicle as stated in Management of Vehicles Policy (OPS 147.0)
  • CEUs as appropriate

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of mechanical assembly, complex rehab equipment assembly, or construction type experience is preferred but not required.
