About the HEOR Data Programmer position:The HEOR Data Programmer supports a variety of data-driven projects within the HEOR practice area. The role primarily involves data analysis and management, including data preparation and analytical and statistical programming. The role provides hands-on experience with healthcare datasets, statistical software, and reporting tools, while offering opportunities to grow programming and analytical skills. Requirements

  • Undergraduate and/or Master's degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, or another quantitative discipline.
  • Coursework or internship experience with statistical software (SAS, R, SQL, or Python).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with healthcare data (claims, electronic health records (EHR), or survey data) is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Write, test, and maintain programs in SAS, R, Python, or SQL to prepare healthcare datasets and perform data analyses.
  • Perform various statistical analyses (e.g., descriptive statistics, regressions) under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Develop and update tables and figures to support study deliverables.
  • Conduct quality checks on data and code to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Document programming steps and maintain well-organized records of datasets and analysis processes.
  • Collaborate with project teams to understand programming needs and complete assigned tasks on schedule.
  • Continue building technical skills and stay current with best practices in programming and data management.
