The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at Mayo Clinic in Florida is seeking an academically-oriented Hematopathologist to join our large and growing academic practice. A work experience of three to five years is highly desirable. The selected candidate must demonstrate outstanding communication skills and collaboration with other pathologists and physicians in other specialties. The candidate is expected to cover the clinical service including bone marrow, lymph node, PB/Body fluid, flow cytometry, and optional molecular studies. This role includes additional educational responsibilities, such as teaching of medical school students, pathology and non-pathology rotating residents, fellows and allied health staff. The selected candidate should have a track record of research and potential to obtain intramural/extramural funding. Mayo Clinic Jacksonville is a unique practice environment, with rapid growth and expansion in CAR-T therapy and bone marrow transplant. Our clinical pathology laboratory offers an unparalleled, robust and growing test menu. The selected candidate will join a group of 35+ consultants. Our department is fully digital for lymphoma and surgical pathology sign out; and evaluating the options for digital bone marrow smears and cytology. All Surgical and Clinical pathologists have subspecialty expertise and participate in scholarly activities through research and education and offer a stimulating environment for professional growth and career development. The department hosts a data science and pathology informatics team which supports computational research and AI development. The position includes an academic appointment with the College of Medicine, Mayo Clinic.
