This position is for a PRN clinic Registered Nurse in the Hematology/Stem Cell Transplant Clinic. This RN is responsible for managing message baskets, triaging patients, assisting their provider in clinic, and ensuring patients' labs, appointments, and treatments are scheduled and monitored. The role requires 3 8-hour shifts/week, Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p, with no weekends or holidays. The nurse applies the nursing process to plan and implement patient care, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. They effectively communicate pertinent patient/family information to the health care team, collaborate in establishing patient goals, evaluate progress to ensure effective outcomes, and further professional growth through learning activities according to Board of Nursing standards.

Requirements

  • LIC-Registered Nurse - Licensure-Others
  • Relevant Work Experience
  • 1 year Experience Level
  • Graduate of an approved discipline specific program

Responsibilities

  • Manage message baskets
  • Triage patients
  • Assist their provider in clinic

  • Apply the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning

  • Further professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to the Board of Nursing standards
  • Collaborate in establishing the plan of care, coordinate and implement care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum
  • Analyze comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis
  • Utilize the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and apply appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes
  • Employ strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment
