About The Position
As a physician at the Lipson Cancer Institute, you will be at the forefront of patient-focused Hematology/Oncology care. Our institute is dedicated to providing high-quality cancer care to the Rochester and Western New York region, with six cancer centers that treat over 4,500 new cancer and blood disorder patients each year. You will have the opportunity to enroll over 275 patients annually in clinical trials, contributing to the advancement of cancer treatment and research. You will join a collaborative team of supportive physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and administrative support staff. This role allows you to partner with a wide range of specialists through numerous case conferences, continuing medical education (CME), and networking activities, including Radiation Oncology, Surgeons, Pathologists, Radiologists, and other sub-specialists. The Lipson Cancer Institute is accredited by the American College of Surgeons and the Commission on Cancer as a Comprehensive Academic Program, ensuring that you will be part of a prestigious institution committed to excellence in cancer care. The institute also provides clinical leadership and services to the Mary M Gooley Hemophilia Center, the oldest free-standing Hemophilia Treatment Center in the United States. You will have access to the first and only intra-operative radiation therapy program in Western New York, enhancing the treatment options available to your patients. Additionally, the Sands Constellation Center for Critical Care has recently opened, featuring 23 new operating rooms and 108 private acuity-adaptable inpatient rooms, including a new oncology inpatient floor with 36 private patient rooms designed for optimized care of patients diagnosed with Acute Leukemia and other Hematologic Malignancies.
