JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Hematology/Oncology Physician • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Reidsville, NC • Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: 06/15/2026 – 39 Weeks • Clinical Shift Schedule: 4 Day Schedule (10-Hour Shifts) | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM COVERAGE DATES • 06/15/2026 – Ongoing (39-Week Assignment) PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults • Patient Volume/Census: Minimum 15 Patients per Day • Case Mix: Approximately 60–65% Hematology with occasional Oncology cases; focus on benign hematology and bread-and-butter Hem/Onc conditions FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 5 • EMR System: Epic • Office Equipment Available: Standard outpatient oncology clinic equipment • Specialty Backup Available: Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers • Support Staff Available: Nurses, Navigator, Administrative Support, Pharmacy Team, Infusion Specialist • Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Credentialing Timeline: 60–90 Days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered (Flight, Rental Car, and Lodging Provided)
Requirements
- Licenses: Active North Carolina Medical License Required
- Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and/or Oncology (Dual certification preferred)
- DEA: Active DEA Required
- Certifications: BLS Required
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 Years of Hematology/Oncology Experience
- Other Qualifications: Ability to manage benign hematology cases and function in a general oncology environment

Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient hematology/oncology patient care including new patient evaluations and follow-ups
- Diagnose and treat hematologic disorders with emphasis on benign hematology
- Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams including nurses, APPs, pharmacy staff, and infusion specialists
- Maintain accurate documentation and utilize the Epic EMR system effectively
