About The Position
University of Michigan Health-West, a leader in Healthcare in Grand Rapids, Michigan is seeking a full-time Hematology/Oncology Physician to join our expanding, multi-discipline team. High caliber, quality focused, innovative providers should apply to join our cancer care team of both physicians and advanced practice providers to expand and provide care to local communities. Candidate will need to coordinate and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a positive experience for all patients, families, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in providing exceptional care to patients with hematologic malignancies, including leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, and advanced practice providers to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct and participate in clinical research, contributing to the advancement of malignant hematology.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging therapies and clinical trial opportunities for patients.
- Educate and mentor medical students, residents
- Develop strong relationships with patients and their families, providing emotional support and guidance throughout their treatment journey.
- Participate in tumor board meetings and provide expert consultation to other healthcare providers.

- Full complement of ancillary support staff and programs; Infusion, Care Management, Social Work, Nurse Navigation, Nurse triage, Research, Clinical Trials Laboratory, Pharmacy
