JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Hematology/Oncology Physician • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Cambridge, MN • Service Setting: Outpatient • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: April 6, 2026 – Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM COVERAGE DATES • Ongoing coverage beginning April 6, 2026 • Full-time coverage required • Initial six-month assignment with possible extensions PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults • Phone Consults: As required • Case Mix: Medical oncology and hematology with solid tumor coverage FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 590 • EMR System: Epic • Office Equipment Available: Standard outpatient oncology clinic equipment • Specialty Backup Available: Oncology subspecialty support • Support Staff Available: Full-time APP support • Reason for Coverage: Full-time outpatient coverage need with locums-to-perm intent PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Credentialing Timeline: 90 days with active MN license; up to 120 days if licensure needed • Fingerprinting Required: Yes; results must be posted prior to privileges COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered per locum agreement • Orientation: 4 hours, non-billable REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Outpatient hematology and medical oncology services JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active Minnesota medical license required; IMLC accepted • Board: Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology • DEA: Active DEA required • Certifications: BLS required • Experience: Solid tumor oncology experience required • Other Qualifications: Drive-in candidates required due to locums-to-perm consideration DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide outpatient hematology and oncology clinic care • Manage solid tumor and hematologic malignancy patients • Collaborate with APPs and multidisciplinary oncology teams • Utilize Epic EMR for all clinical documentation • Participate in continuity-of-care planning for potential permanent placement
Requirements
- Active Minnesota medical license required; IMLC accepted
- Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
- Active DEA required
- BLS required
- Solid tumor oncology experience required
- Drive-in candidates required due to locums-to-perm consideration
