About The Position

MercyOne Waterloo Cancer Center is the only comprehensive, accredited, and multidisciplinary cancer treatment center serving 10 counties. The center offers a range of services including radiation oncology, radiation therapy, and an infusion clinic, all with on-site pharmacy and pharmacist support. It participates in cooperative clinical trials and hosts weekly tumor boards, ensuring integrated oncology services. The facility features private infusion suites and a 13-chair infusion center staffed by chemo-certified nurses, providing 36 patient contact hours per week. The cancer center is part of a larger 366-bed hospital that serves approximately 280,000 residents across 8 counties. A hospitalist team is in place to handle admissions, and the center is accredited by the Commission on Cancer (CoC) and the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). Additionally, it is an H-1B cap exempt organization and accepts J-1 candidates.
