Join Deaconess Cancer services and become part of a highly respected multi-disciplinary team as leader at Good Samaritan in Vincennes, IN. This position is within a comprehensive cancer center accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. The role offers an outstanding quality of life with a 4 day or 4.5-day work week and limited home call. The practice is primarily outpatient, with 90% of the work being outpatient and 10% inpatient. The focus is approximately 90% Oncology and 10% Hematology, with providers seeing solid tumor cases including breast, lung, colon, and prostate cancers. You will ramp up quickly in an established practice that averages 30+ new patients per month. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including a 1.5 Tesla MRI, Siemens Sequoia and Juniper for Ultrasound, and a 128 slice CT scanner. You will work alongside well-trained and experienced Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), nurse navigators, and support staff. The oncology clinic is conveniently located near radiation oncology, infusion center, radiology services, and the inpatient unit. The hospitalist team handles admissions, with the oncologist serving as the consulting physician, resulting in a low inpatient census. Additionally, the position is affiliated with an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine and Psychiatry Residency Program in collaboration with the Indiana University School of Medicine.
