About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Hematologist/Oncologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. Kings County Hospital operates a world-renowned Level 1 Trauma Center, one of only three in Brooklyn, which serves 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island. Opportunity Details: Provide inpatient and outpatient hematology/oncology care in a high-volume, academic public hospital. Serve a diverse, historically underserved patient population in Central Brooklyn. Participate in clinical education, with opportunities to teach and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students. Engage in weekly tumor boards and multidisciplinary case reviews. Collaborate in ongoing clinical research and quality improvement initiatives. Contribute to the development and maintenance of care standards within the division. Work in an integrated cancer care environment with strong institutional support and a public health mission. Join a team of 4 full-time and 1 part-time attendings, 4 NPs and 1 PA. We are one of three training sites for the 14 fellows in the SUNY Downstate Hematology/Oncology fellowship training program.

Requirements

  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Hematology/Oncology
  • Active or eligible for a New York State medical license

Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient hematology/oncology care in a high-volume, academic public hospital.
  • Serve a diverse, historically underserved patient population in Central Brooklyn.
  • Participate in clinical education, with opportunities to teach and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students.
  • Engage in weekly tumor boards and multidisciplinary case reviews.
  • Collaborate in ongoing clinical research and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of care standards within the division.

Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary: $369,000 based on 40-hour work week.
  • Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
  • The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $459,520 , which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:
  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
