Requirements

  • Board-certified/eligible in Hematology and Medical Oncology (dual-boarded preferred)
  • Fellowship-trained from an accredited program
  • Eligible for Illinois medical license
  • Strong clinical skills, patient-centered approach, team player

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for patients with solid tumors and hematologic malignancies (leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, etc.)
  • Manage benign hematology consults and non-malignant blood disorders as needed
  • Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans, including systemic therapies (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted agents)
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team (radiology, pathology, surgery, radiation oncology, palliative care) for optimal patient outcomes
  • Participate in tumor board discussions and quality initiatives
  • Deliver patient-centered care with strong emphasis on communication, shared decision-making, and supportive services
