About The Position

The Helper assists with all aspects of residential and commercial moves, including packing, loading, transporting, and unloading household goods and office furniture. This role requires strong physical ability, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills to ensure a smooth and professional moving experience for every client.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (50-100+ pounds) repeatedly throughout the day
• Physical stamina and endurance to work long hours, often in various weather conditions
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to follow directions and work well as part of a team
• Good communication skills and customer service orientation
• Reliable transportation to report to work location
• Valid driver's license preferred but not required
• Previous moving or labor experience is a plus but not required
• Must be able to pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Load and unload furniture, boxes, and other items from trucks safely and efficiently
• Pack and wrap items using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transport
• Carry heavy items up and down stairs and through narrow spaces
• Disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed
• Use moving equipment such as dollies, hand trucks, and furniture pads properly
• Follow instructions from the crew leader or foreman
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in the truck and at job sites
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor
• Protect customers' property and handle items with care
• Assist with inventory tracking and documentation
