About The Position
The Helper is responsible for working with the driver of the truck to assist in refuse collection.
Requirements
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must not have any license suspensions within the last 2 years.
- No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
- Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
- Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.
Responsibilities
- Ride along with driver to help pick up refuse on route
- Read maps, diagrams and route sheet in order to follow a designated daily route
- Ability to operate controls and collection equipment
- Complete daily vehicle inspections, fueling and fluid level checks
- Complete required daily service tickets and reports
- Report any mechanical programs with equipment
- Complete daily reports, logs, load/yardage, and load ticket receipts
- Other duties as assigned
