Great Performances is seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and hardworking helper with a positive attitude to join our team. This role is responsible for assisting the driver in operating straight box trucks and ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of supplies, equipment, and food to our event sites and venues.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate accountability and ownership by maintaining high performance standards, showing initiative, and consistently following through on assigned responsibilities.
  • Maintain a professional, courteous, and respectful demeanor when interacting with clients, guests, venue representatives, building staff, and Great Performances team members.
  • Remain open to feedback and direction, using it as an opportunity to improve performance, strengthen skills, and contribute positively to the team.
  • Follow all company and departmental policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
  • Support drivers, supervisors, and team members as needed to ensure efficient workflow and successful event execution.
  • Assist with physically demanding tasks, including lifting and transporting items weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
  • Accurately follow written instructions, delivery paperwork, and operational guidelines to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Apply familiarity with New York City roadways, routes, and delivery environments to support timely and efficient operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall warehouse, delivery, and event operations.
  • Must be able to provide valid documentation that you are legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with in packing and preparing event equipment, supplies, and materials in the warehouse to ensure readiness for upcoming deliveries.
  • Identify and report any missing items during pack-out by creating a “short list” to ensure delivery accuracy and completeness.
  • Support the driver with loading company straight box trucks and vans, ensuring all items are properly organized and safely secured for transport.
  • Assist with unloading and breaking down returned items from events, including separating equipment, perishable food, beverages, and soiled materials for proper handling and storage.
  • Verify that all deliveries are complete, secure, and aligned with event paperwork prior to departure and upon return.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles, warehouse areas, and loading docks, including removing trash, disposing of empty boxes, and keeping workspaces safe and orderly.
  • Promptly communicate any discrepancies, missing items, or issues with inventory or paperwork to the supervisor or manager.
