About The Position

The General Laborer supports refinery maintenance and construction activities by performing a wide range of physical and manual tasks. This position assists skilled trades, maintains work areas, ensures safe work practices, and follows all company and client procedures within an industrial or refinery environment.

Requirements

• Prior refinery or industrial construction experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting, bending, standing, working in confined spaces or at heights).
• Must be able to pass required background checks, drug and alcohol screening, and safety training.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• TWIC card may be required depending on site.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleanup and housekeeping of work areas, including removal of debris, sweeping, and disposal of materials.
• Assist craft personnel such as pipefitters, welders, insulators, scaffold builders, and painters as directed.
• Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment.
• Set up and take down work areas, barricades, and temporary enclosures.
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Support site safety initiatives and report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Follow instructions from foremen or supervisors and perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with all refinery site-specific requirements, including PPE, training, and access control.
