About The Position

Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Global team, is engineering, developing and integrating new capability for the Missile Defense System that currently protects the United States and its allies. The team, as a whole, is very large but is broken down into many smaller agile teams that work together in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Our team is also responsible for tasks such as Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security and enhancing other critical, leading-edge missile defense technologies. You will serve as the first line of defense for user-level interactions and issues, providing support to users in person, over secure phone, via email, or through instant message (IM). As a customer-facing role, you will be expected to possess refined customer service skills in addition to strong IT skills. Your daily tasks will include diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with remote users, requiring you to be comfortable with remote troubleshooting and adept at communicating technical solutions to non-technical users.

Requirements

  • An Active Final TS Clearance needed prior to starting.
  • Candidate must obtain a DOD 8570/8140 certification such as Security+ CE or equivalent within three months of starting.
  • Experience with system administration in both Windows Server and Linux operating systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with using a help desk ticketing system, such as Atlassian JIRA.
  • Ability to develop documentation using enterprise tools such as Atlassian Confluence.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting users in an enterprise-level system.
