About The Position

The Help Desk Technician at Granger provides first-level support for IT issues and requests, responding promptly via phone, email, and a support portal. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues, managing a ticketing system by documenting actions and resolutions, and assisting with the setup and configuration of workstations, printers, peripherals, and mobile devices. The role also involves providing initial setup and network connectivity support to associates, maintaining IT inventory and asset management, and tracking equipment distribution. The ideal candidate will maintain confidentiality, be open to new ideas, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team, collaborating with associates, managers, leadership, and IT vendors.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a technical field or 2+ years IT Help Desk experience working in remote and in-person settings.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft’s core business applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive) and operating systems.
  • Basic understanding of IT support tools (ServiceDesk Plus, IT glue, NinjaRMM), techniques and how technology is used to provide IT.
  • Ability to travel as needed to perform duties.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of position and pass a physical and drug screen including marijuana (pre-employment and random).

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level support for IT issues and requests by responding promptly to IT support requests made by phone, email and through the support portal.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose first-level technical issues and resolve them efficiently.
  • Regularly check the ticketing system for new and ongoing issues and document all actions taken and resolutions provided.
  • Assist in setting up and configuring workstations, printers, peripherals and mobile devices.
  • Provide associates with initial setup and configuration support.
  • Support associates with basic network connectivity issues and assist associates in connecting to the network.
  • Assist in maintaining IT inventory and asset management by tracking the distribution and return of IT equipment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, remain open to other’s ideas and exhibit willingness to try new things.
  • Ability to work well with all associates, including managers and leadership, as well as software/IT vendors.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
