About The Position

As a Database Analyst Associate at GDIT, you will deliver insights to help our clients turn data into action. You will be responsible for designing, planning, implementing, and administering databases, including security, access, and documentation. Additionally, you will assist with Site Switching database setup and maintain procedures, perform switch testing, and assist the team with analyzing fault issues with switching and correcting problems associated with Site Switching servers and equipment.

Requirements

• 1+ years of related experience in computer science or networking.
• Knowledge in Layer 1 switching systems.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Preventive and corrective maintenance abilities.

Nice To Haves

• Technical training or certifications in layer I switches.
• Experience with Network Switches, Routing and Switching, Software Installations.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, implement, and administer databases, including security, access, and documentation.
• Assist with Site Switching database setup and maintain procedures.
• Perform switch testing and assist team with analyzing fault issues with switching.
• Investigate and correct Network switching issues.
• Break and relink switch paths to support customer requirements and setups.
