About The Position

VISIT FLORIDA shares Florida sunshine with the world. As the state’s official tourism marketing organization, VISIT FLORIDA has been charged with selling an extraordinary vacation product since 1996. As part of our Information Technology team, we’re seeking to fill our Help Desk Support Technician position. This position is located within our corporate office in Tallahassee, FL.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience troubleshooting and resolving network computers, hardware, and software issues
  • Working technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a logical and analytical approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with other staff of varying technical backgrounds
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Must be able to meet physical requirements of position including, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and handling
  • Position requires some travel.
  • Valid driver's license and required insurance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Resolve employee hardware and software issues.
  • Diagnose problems, replace, repair, upgrade, or re-install assets when needed.
  • Onboard new employees, providing training and guidance with IT systems.
  • Manage IT work order system, assigning work orders within the IT department depending on areas of responsibility.
  • Lead the Anti-virus and mobile device management programs.
  • Maintain and update endpoints, including mobile devices, laptops, desktops.
  • Maintain remote software and meeting platforms.
  • Provide support for staff, trainings, and executive meetings.
  • Review and respond to appropriate network logs to include FW, Backup, Security, Cameras, and Access Logs.
  • Administer inventory process, tracking assets, software licensure, sales materials, and promotional products.
  • Assist Accounting department with inventory audits.
  • Maintain the warehouse area and facilities, equipment, and supply inventory, including receiving and shipping sales materials and promotional products.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail.
