About The Position

The HELOC Lending Specialist provides support to second mortgage originations while promoting service, quality, efficiency and compliance.

Requirements

• Understand and comply with mortgage industry regulations, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Community Reinvestment Act, Truth-in-Lending laws, etc.
• Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
• Minimum Required: High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• Minimum Required: 2+ year of banking experience
• Minimum Required: None
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

Nice To Haves

• Experience in ICE Mortgage Technology's Encompass is preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper insurance coverage and mortgagee clause for home owner's insurance.
• Conduct quality checks the file for completeness and signed documents.
• Order appraisals for all Loan Officers.
• Provides appraisal quotes to Loan Officer Assistants
• Upload appraisals and send to the appropriate associate.
• Upload heloc files into Encompass.
