About The Position

The Helicopter Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing FlightCare’s helicopters according to Federal Aviation Authority and FlightCare Standards. The primary aircraft shall be kept in a constant state of readiness for emergency missions.

Requirements

  • Factory training in aircraft type AND three years of experience as a helicopter mechanic OR five years of experience as a helicopter mechanic.
  • FAA Airframe and Power Plant Certificate.
  • Current California Driver’s License.
  • Eligible to be insured under the Medical Center’s Liability Policy with DMV Report (and minimum age 21).

  • Ability to work smoothly with FlightCare personnel and other hospital employees.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect helicopters for airworthiness and compliance with FAA regulations.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on FlightCare’s helicopters.
  • Ensure helicopters are in a constant state of readiness for emergency missions.
  • Collaborate with FlightCare personnel and hospital employees to ensure operational efficiency.
