About The Position

The Department of Pathology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is pleased to announce a new recruitment for an additional academic surgical pathologist and/or cytopathologist. We are inviting applications from qualified candidates at all ranks for a full-time, tenure earning/tenured position through the Department of Pathology, School of Medicine.

Requirements

• M.D. (or M.D., Ph.D.)
• Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology
• Board certification in Cytopathology and/or fellowship training in bone/soft tissue pathology is a plus
• Eligibility for a license to practice medicine in Alabama
• National reputation in academic pathology for candidates beyond starting Assistant Professors
• Track record of a competitive basic, translational, and/or clinically focused research program
