About The Position

The Schwartz Early Childhood School at the SJCC is a school of excellence where children feel secure, confident, and nurtured to become deep and creative thinkers. Our program is inspired by the schools of Reggio Emilia, Italy, and grounded in a social constructivist approach to learning. The Schwartz Early Childhood School at the SJCC on Mercer Island is seeking a passionate and experienced early childhood educator with a strong foundation in child development and a deep commitment to fostering curiosity, independence, and a love of learning in young children. The ideal candidate is skilled in integrating Hebrew language and Jewish values into play-based, developmentally appropriate curricula and creates warm, inclusive classroom communities where children feel seen, supported, and inspired to explore their world. We are a collaborative and reflective community of educators who come together in the best interest of children. The Schwartz Early Childhood School provides exceptional support to educators through mentorship, weekly planning time, monthly reflective supervision, new hire orientation, ongoing professional development, and access to abundant, high-quality materials.
