About The Position

This position is responsible for safely repairing customer vehicles, ensuring correct parts selection, quality checks, and proper installation or repair as identified on the work order or required by the customer. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 5+ years experience.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc.
  • Ability to create, maintain, and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and PowerPoint presentations to support business objectives.
  • Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills.
  • Ability to train others in functional areas, interact with others, and make presentations to the department or middle management.
  • Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive, and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
  • Decisions generally affect one's job or assigned functional area.
  • Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.
  • Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.

  • Heavy Truck Mechanical Knowledge is a PLUS!
  • ASE Certification is a plus.
  • Safety & Emissions Certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the ability to ensure correct parts selection and installation, or repair on vehicles/equipment.
  • Proficiently use the required equipment for servicing and installing parts as required by the customer.
  • Recognize acceptable and defective parts and complete the process as appropriate.
  • Conduct maintenance for assigned equipment as identified by the schedule.
  • Assume other duties as assigned.
