About the position
Certain roles at Tyson require background checks. If you are offered a position that requires a background check you will be provided additional documentation to complete once an offer has been extended. Semi-Skilled positions consist of the use of knives, hooks, and wearing proper PPE. All Semi-Skilled positions include physical work that can be subject to standing at a table for eight hours or more, and/or working on a moving table or chain. The work environment for these positions is subject to be cold, hot, or humid. Must be able & willing to work in hot and cold environments. Semi-Skilled positions require the ability to work with knives & hooks. Essential to this position, includes pushing, lifting, and pulling of weights not to exceed 80 lbs. Use of physical force when pushing, pulling, and lifting. Must be willing to use & properly wear all required PPE along withstanding 6-8 hours a shift.
Responsibilities
- Use knives and hooks safely and effectively.
- Stand at a table for eight hours or more.
- Work on a moving table or chain.
- Handle physical tasks including pushing, lifting, and pulling weights not to exceed 80 lbs.
- Wear and use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements
- Must be able and willing to work in hot and cold environments.
- Ability to work with knives and hooks.
- Must be able to push, lift, and pull weights not exceeding 80 lbs.
- Must pass a urinalysis screening as part of a post-offer health assessment.
- Must provide proof of authorization to work legally within the U.S.
