Requirements

  • B.A in mechanical engineering or DSC in mechanic
  • 10 years of experience in managing maintenance and rehabilitation projects for heavy equipment (forklifts, loaders, excavators)
  • Advanced skills in electrical diagnostics, programming, and signals.
  • Proficiency in OEM telematics suites
  • Valid passport required
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Strong sense of priorities and ability to adapt in a constantly evolving environment
  • Attention to detail, autonomy, and a focus on continuous improvement and collaboration
  • Ability to work or travel outside normal working hours as operational needs require
  • Excellent priority management and ability to work under pressure, especially when troubleshooting heavy equipment breakdowns

  • Spanish is an asset

Responsibilities

  • You support sites that use heavy machinery (forklifts, wheel loaders, cranes) with reliability issues, replacements, and major repairs
  • You train mechanics on preventive and corrective maintenance procedures
  • You collaborate with heavy equipment suppliers for acquisitions and service contracts
  • You maintain relationships with heavy equipment manufacturers (Volvo, Liebherr, Komatsu, Caterpillar, etc.)
  • You work with the procurement and operations teams to draft tenders based on heavy equipment needs
  • You analyze the bids received
  • You inspect and review heavy equipment maintenance
  • You perform reliability analysis in the field and plan equipment replacements
  • You act as a safety ambassador for maintenance mechanics
  • You provide leadership within the maintenance supervisors' community
  • You stay informed about grants and funding opportunities for equipment replacement.
