About The Position

As a Heavy Mechanical Shop - mechanic you will be responsible for disassembling, inspecting, documenting, assembling, various types of mining process equipment & walking dragline equipment, power plant equipment and machinery with other assigned duties.

Requirements

2+ Years in Industrial Equipment / Mining Equipment Repair
Knowledge of Industrial Application and Practices
Knowledge of Bearing Types and Fitting and Setting Practices training available
Employee must be dependable and capable of working long hours.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Attention to Detail - Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to drive forklifts, man lifts and operate overhead cranes in a safe manner.

High School Diploma or GED Preferred

Responsibilities

Disassembles and inspects equipment to determine repair requirements. Includes gear assemblies, pinion shaft assemblies, trunnion rollers, thrust rollers, various walking dragline components, sheaves, fairleads, gear cases, dragline transmissions, planetaries gear cases, lump breakers & crushers, hammer mills, head shaft & tail shaft pulleys, shaker screens & more.
Fill out inspection and other various reports.
Using various pneumatic tools, hand tools, acetylene torch, welder, drill press and hand grinders required to disassemble and assemble various types of equipment.
Required to read micrometers and measuring equipment.
Ensure that the required equipment and tools are functioning properly.
Performs routine maintenance on machinery and test equipment.
Performs housekeeping tasks as required.
Work independently to a set of procedures with stop checks for Supervisor and QC Sign Offs
Must have own basic hand tools
Must always adhere to and follow company safety rules.
