About The Position

Elyria Foundry is hiring for Heavy manufacturing operators in our Core and Mold making Departments as well as Melt shop and Shakeout (all shifts) within our facility in Elyria. We are looking for dedicated, hard working and motivated employees to join the EF team! 1st shift starts between 3am and 5am 2nd shift starts between 1:30pm and 4pm 3rd shift starts between 6pm and 10pm

Requirements

Heavy manufacturing experience highly preferred
Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials during your shift
Lift and carry up to 50+ lbs consistently
Comfortable wearing FULL RESPIRATORY SAFETY EQUIPMENT must be clean shaven
Standing and bending for long periods of time
Indoor and outdoor climate conditions during all seasons and in varying temperatures

Responsibilities

Following work instructions
Reading work orders
Understand quality expectations and work within standards
Operating heavy machinery
Creating molds and cores for our metal sand casting process
Lifting up to 50+ lbs consistently
Working in a heavy manufacturing environment (sand, fluctuating temps)
Using equipment such as hand tools, tow motors, blasters and overhead/JIB cranes
Working with a team as well as independently
Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
Other duties as assigned based on business need
