About The Position

Ellwood Aluminum is looking for a Production Operator to join our growing team. As an industry leader in aluminum castings, we take pride in producing top-tier products used across various industries. This position involves working hands-on with machinery and materials, helping to shape aluminum parts using heat and specialized equipment. Attention to safety and quality is essential, as you will be working around high temperatures and molten metal. You'll receive training to operate machines, monitor production, and assist with basic maintenance tasks to keep everything running smoothly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to pass a physical test and background screening.
• Flexible shift availability, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and inspect equipment to ensure optimal performance and readiness for production.
• Collect metal samples during the casting process to perform quality tests, ensuring materials meet required specifications.
• Continuously observe the casting process for any potential defects or issues and report concerns to supervisors.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, cleaning, and upkeep of tooling and equipment.
• Keep precise and up-to-date records and logs of all casting activities, including equipment performance and production data.
• Strictly follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain a well-organized and clean casting area, ensuring all materials and tools are properly stored.
