About The Position

As a Material Handler, you’ll get to operate some of our heavy equipment and monitor the quality of its operation. You will efficiently load and unload the heavy equipment with lumber while maintaining safety and top quality. This role is vital to keeping our operation running at the highest productivity!
The Material Handler will be responsible for operating machines to load and unload mulch and having knowledge of all machine controls

Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths in time
The noise level in the work environment is dependent on location
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, distance vision and color vision

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift wooden pallets which weigh about 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Previous lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, roofing, experience highly preferred
• Quick hands, attention to detail, commitment to quality
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work overtime as needed
