The CDL Heavy Haul Driver is a critical role within EnerStar’s Well Site Service Division, responsible for safely transporting and delivering both fluids and heavy equipment to client locations. This position combines expertise in fluid hauling operations with winch work to support diverse field service needs.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL with appropriate endorsements (e.g., Tanker).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy haul operations, including fluid hauling and winch work.
  • Proven ability to operate heavy haul trucks and winch equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations, load securement, and weight distribution.
  • Knowledge of fluid dynamics and handling procedures for water, wastewater, and other energy-related fluids.
  • Ability to work in remote field environments and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Strong commitment to EnerStar’s safety and environmental standards.
  • Willingness and ability to properly utilize all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and minor repairs on hauling and winch equipment.
  • Basic vehicle maintenance skills.
  • Ability to operate electronic tools/software (smartphones, computers, metering devices).
  • Ability to read oilfield maps.
  • Physical stamina to handle demanding tasks and lift 50–75 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work nights/weekends, travel overnight, and be on call 24/7.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional interaction with dispatch, clients, and team members.
  • Active listening and ability to take direction from supervisors.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • No conviction of DUI/DWI/OUI, refusing a substance test, charges of reckless driving, hit and run, eluding police, drag racing or driving on a suspended/revoked license.
  • No 2+ at fault auto accidents in the previous 3 years.
  • No three or more minor driving infractions in the previous 3 years.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely at all times; follow all EnerStar safety practices, company policies, and client worksite regulations.
  • Adhere to safe driving practices and maintain compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Complete daily DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Maintain accurate and legal DOT logbooks (electronic or paper), including proper record keeping and notations.
  • Load, transport, and deliver fluids such as water, grey/black water, and other liquids used in energy field services.
  • Recover and relocate fluid-handling equipment and transfer fluid assets between EnerStar branches.
  • Safely load and deliver aggregates and heavy equipment to customer locations.
  • Support rig moves, in-field equipment relocation, and movement of assets between EnerStar branches.
  • Operate assigned equipment, including winch trucks, water trucks, and sewer trucks.
  • Verify all tickets and manifests are signed on location prior to departure.
  • Communicate consistently with Branch Manager or Supervisor.
  • Interact professionally with EnerStar clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Promote quality assurance and uphold EnerStar’s core values.
  • Assist with field service calls, rig moves and setups, chemical toilet services, and other tasks as assigned by management.
  • Travel as required by EnerStar.
