Under direct supervision, the Heavy Equipment Welder is responsible for making sound structural repairs with all welds neat in appearance or ground off flush in a manner that reflects the company’s vision of working as “One Professional Team.” Pay Rate: $27.60 - $29.62 per hour. Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience. Location: 2322 I-70 Frontage Road, Grand Junction, CO 81505

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years of welding experience, preferably in the heavy equipment industry
  • Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing
  • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, etc.
  • Heavy work that includes lifting and/or moving objects up to 85 pounds or more
  • Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills
  • Safety & Product Knowledge
  • Ability to search for and enter data into a computer
  • Ability to type service reports

Responsibilities

  • Prepares inspection reports
  • Inspects structural condition of equipment
  • With some assistance, removes and installs components and parts to make necessary repairs
  • With some assistance, reconditions or fabricates components or parts to manufacturer’s specifications
  • With some assistance, determines reusability of parts in accordance with published guidelines
  • Orders replacement parts
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
