About The Position
The Heavy Equipment Test Engineer will perform all tests with minimum supervision, involving knowledge of power and control electronics, difficult circuits, electrical measurements, electrical theory and calculations, testing operations and data acquisition. The engineer will develop, setup, and execute assigned tests, attend and contribute to reviews with leads, engineering, EHS, and others when necessary to review, update, approve and perform proposed functionality tests or similar changes. The role requires attendance at necessary safety and qualification training for working on electrical and mechanical test stands, effective communication with a cross-functional team of technicians, engineers, and Safety personnel, and providing technical expertise as needed to ensure test needs are met. All assigned tests must be performed and documented properly, and attendance at test review/planning meetings is required as needed.
