As a CF Shop Mechanic, your more typical responsibilities will include the following in regards to construction/forestry and heavy equipment and service: Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on equipment and established products as requested by the Service Manager and Service Writer. Prepares all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments. Maintains condition of shop, vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment. Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments. Complete dis-assembly and inspection, as efficiently as possible, so parts may be ordered and machine work can be scheduled promptly. Maintain records and account for all time, parts, and supplies used in repairing and servicing both customer and dealership equipment. As a Shop Mechanic, you will be working in the shop (with occasional work required outside in varying weather conditions) to repair, conduct maintenance, and address any customer concerns or questions regarding our fleet of John Deere equipment. Requirements

  • Willingness to learn.
  • Basic Service Technician or Mechanic certification preferred.
  • Experience performing equipment repairs, engine work, diagnostics and preventative maintenance as well as diagnostics on equipment is required.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Valid, clean driver’s license preferred.
  • Strong communication skill and self-motivated.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic Service Technician or Mechanic certification preferred.
  • Valid, clean driver’s license preferred.
