About The Position
Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Technician to join our team in the New St. James Parrish, LA area. If you have at least five years of proven Heavy Equipment Mechanic experience we want to hear from you! CDL “A or B” is a real plus! Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! $35.00-45.00 per hour depending on experience! Shift: Tuesday-Friday 6:00am-4:00pm. On Call every other weekend. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Heavy Equipment Mechanic should have a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience
- Complete set of hand tools and wheeled tool box suitable for daily use
- Acceptable driving record and pass drug test and background check
Nice To Haves
- CDL “A or B”
- Volvo/CAT/Komatsu experience
- Heavy Equipment Mechanics with OEM training and/or ASE certifications
Responsibilities
- Perform PMI's on all types of powered equipment
- Perform selected repairs on equipment involving the summary of components and systems
- Test drive all types of vehicles
- Train and assist other mechanics
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work area and environment. Including but not limited to cleaning shop equipment, floors, and fluid containment areas
