As a Heavy Equipment Technician, your more typical responsibilities will include: Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on equipment and established products as requested by the Service Manager and Service Writer. Prepares all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments. Maintains condition of shop, vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment. Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments. Complete dis-assembly and inspection, as efficiently as possible, so parts may be ordered and machine work can be scheduled promptly. Maintain records and account for all time, parts, and supplies used in repairing and servicing both customer and dealership equipment. As a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician, you will be working in the shop (with occasional work required outside in varying weather conditions) to repair, conduct maintenance, and address any customer concerns or questions regarding our fleet of John Deere equipment. As a Heavy Equipment Field Technician (if qualified), you will be working in the shop to train then will work from a field service repair truck to repair, conduct maintenance, and address any customer concerns onsite at the customer location outside. Requirements

Willingness to learn.
Experience working as a mechanic or technician on heavy construction, industrial or diesel equipment is strongly preferred for shop technician and 3 or more years of this experience is required for field technicians.
Basic Service Technician or Mechanic certification preferred.
Recent and regular computer usage, specifically in running codes and submitting work order information is strongly preferred.
Must have excellent time management skills.
Proficient oral and written communication skills.
High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
Valid, clean driver’s license required for field technicians.
Strong communication skill and self-motivated.
