About The Position
Field and Shop Position Masonry Solutions Midwest is a well-established masonry contractor based in Mt. Clemens, MI. We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Heavy Equipment & Small Engine Mechanic to join our team. This position involves both field and shop work, maintaining a wide range of equipment used in masonry and construction.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in heavy equipment and small engine repair
- Proficient in troubleshooting diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and gas-powered equipment
- Ability to work independently in the field and in a team environment in the shop
- Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred but not required)
- Strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and a safety-first mindset
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair heavy equipment such as skid steers, telehandlers, forklifts, mixers, and trucks
- Maintain and repair small gas-powered equipment: compactors, power saws, generators, trowels, etc.
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency field repairs
- Troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical issues, and small engines
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs
- Ensure all equipment is safe and job-ready
