About The Position
Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic Charlotte, NC | Vermeer All Roads Join a high-performing service team that takes pride in quality work. We're adding a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain Vermeer and related construction equipment in our Charlotte facility. You'll own jobs from initial inspection through final test and sign-off while keeping a clean, safe, and organized bay. Compensation & Schedule Hourly pay: $25-$40 (based on experience) Sign-on bonus up to $5,000 for qualified candidates Production bonuses available Full-time schedule with flexibility - no nights or weekends Benefits Medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and supplemental insurance (eligible the 1st of the month after 30 days) 401(k) with company contribution Paid time off and company-paid holidays Tuition reimbursement program Employee referral bonus program Comprehensive paid training and certifications Career growth opportunities - we promote from within Responsibilities Service, repair, and recondition Vermeer equipment as directed by the Service Manager Diagnose equipment malfunctions (hydraulics, electrical, and hydrostatic systems) Perform welding and fabrication work as needed Recommend appropriate repairs and prepare cost estimates Maintain accurate repair records and documentation Stay current with industry and technical advancements Communicate with the factory for technical support Perform additional duties as assigned Work Authorization Vermeer All Roads does not provide H1-B sponsorship. Responsibilities
- Service, repair, and recondition Vermeer equipment as directed by the Service Manager
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions (hydraulics, electrical, and hydrostatic systems)
- Perform welding and fabrication work as needed
- Recommend appropriate repairs and prepare cost estimates
- Maintain accurate repair records and documentation
- Stay current with industry and technical advancements
- Communicate with the factory for technical support
- Perform additional duties as assigned
