About The Position

Join a high-performing service team that takes pride in quality work. We're adding a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain Vermeer and related construction equipment in our Charlotte facility. You'll own jobs from initial inspection through final test and sign-off while keeping a clean, safe, and organized bay.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Hands-on experience with hydraulic, hydrostatic, and electrical troubleshooting
Welding/fabrication experience (preferred; will train as needed)
Ability to read/interpret schematics and service manuals
Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
Positive attitude with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced shop environment
Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

Perform diagnosis, repair, and reconditioning of Vermeer equipment in the shop
Troubleshoot hydraulics, hydrostatic drives, electrical systems, engines, and drivetrains
Complete preventive maintenance, inspections, and documentation in the work order system
Perform welding/fabrication as needed; ensure quality and safety standards are met
Collaborate with Parts and Service Advisors to scope repairs and prepare accurate estimates
Keep bays, tools, and equipment clean and organized; follow 5S/safety practices
Stay current on technical bulletins and factory updates; other duties as assigned
