About The Position

Diamond D Industries, LLC is the nation’s leading women-owned heavy construction specialist. Based in South Louisiana, DDI offers clearing, access, site preparation, logistics, and storm response services throughout North America. The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for land clearing of Right of Ways. Must be familiar with operating and maintaining various types of heavy equipment such as skid steers, excavators, and loaders. This full-time position has competitive compensation and benefits.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Experience with various types of heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and loaders
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
• Strong work ethic and dedication to completing tasks efficiently
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Successful candidates must complete a drug screening and background check prior to employment

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment
• Follow project plans and specifications
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
• Complete daily logs and reports
• Communicate with team members and supervisors effectively
• Follow all operating procedures and guidelines
• Any additional tasks or projects assigned by their supervisor
