We are seeking an experienced heavy equipment operator in our Phoenix location. AZ continues to grow and the number of electrical projects we are winning is exploding. And our backlog of projects will keep us busy for years! What does a Ludvik Electric Equipment Operator Do? The Equipment Operator safely and efficiently operates a variety of large heavy equipment. In addition to properly operating the equipment, is responsible for inspecting, providing preventative maintenance, and occasionally repairing equipment/ (This position has been designated as safety sensitive. It is a position that includes tasks and duties that could affect the safety and health of the employee or others. The position requires the employee’s full and unimpaired skills and judgment to safely execute all job responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working with heavy equipment properly and safely
  • Possession of a commercial driver's license, or willingness to obtain the license
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong work ethic
  • Physically able to lift 50+ pounds

Responsibilities

  • Operates various pieces of large equipment in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations
  • Performs regular checks on the equipment functionality
  • Documents regular maintenance checks to maintain adequate records of equipment performance
  • Provides preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is safe and operating properly
  • Regularly cleans equipment to preserve its quality and functionality
  • Performs minor repairs on equipment issues
  • Reports needs for larger repairs to the appropriate parties
  • Abides by all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as all company safety procedures
  • Commits to the overall safety of the work environment by always taking extra precautions to work with the utmost care and consideration
