About The Position

The purpose of the Mobile Equipment Operator at our New Brighton, MN plant is to operate and maintain terminal equipment in a safe and efficient manner while unloading/loading customer’s products into/out of rail car, or truck.

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Operating mobile equipment including Log Loaders and Front-End Loaders.
Must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions; majority of the time will be working outside.

Nice To Haves

Operations in log handling including long poles helpful.

Responsibilities

Operate mobile equipment such as Log Loaders and Front-End Loaders.
Operate and maintain the following equipment: Log Loaders, Front-End Loaders, Forklifts.
Understand written documents for proper handling of the customers products.
Understand basic safe use of shop tools.
Ability to maintain communication with co-workers concerning their operational needs.
Achieve and maintain a basic understanding of how all the operating systems function/interact and independently perform effective trouble shooting during equipment malfunctions.
Startup and shutdown equipment.
Learn to perform annual and other scheduled maintenance on equipment.
Understand OSHA safety rules and work in compliance with the Bell Timber safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Identify and report any and all unsafe working conditions.
Ability to read and understand equipment startup procedures, operation procedures, shutdown procedures, and maintenance manuals.
Perform all work in compliance with company standards and procedures.
