About The Position

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Dredge and Plant Operator to be responsible for operating heavy equipment and maintenance of the plant. This position will perform routine maintenance and repairs, including cutting and welding, in a hydraulic dredging environment. Primary responsibility is to safely and efficiently perform maintenance or repairs on all plant and mobile equipment. Track maintenance and repair records. Use a skid steer, front end loader, manlift and clean around plant equipment and to maintain roadways and parking areas. Additionally participate in safety inspections and plant safety program.

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience required
• 1+ year related experience
• Must have a valid US drivers license

Nice To Haves

• Bi-lingual is a plus

Responsibilities

• Responsible for operating a variety of equipment utilized in dredge mining
• Perform daily inspection of equipment and work area
• Perform repairs and routine maintenance on plant and mobile equipment
• Maintain consistent and efficient operation of plant
• Inspect and lubricate equipment and plant operations
• Diagnose and assist in trouble-shooting when process is interrupted
• Test material to maintain specs, no DOT training necessary
• Perform preventative maintenance and pre-shift inspections as needed
• Perform all other duties as assigned
