Heavy Equipment Operator-Carlsbad - Starting Pay: $22.61-$25.58 Per Hour
About The Position
The road department is charged with the maintenance of county roads utilizing a variety of equipment. Operate motor grader, grading various base materials maintaining and establishing road profiles to grades and blue tops. Hand operated tools are also utilized in the performance of this job. Employee must perform all duties with minimal supervision and must ensure that each employee at work-site is performing their assigned task. Employee may be required to work irregular hours, attend job-related meetings, and perform other duties as assigned. Employee must comply with the safety guidelines of the County and complete and pass a new-hire physical and drug screen. No illegal drug use within the last three years. This position is subject to random drug and alcohol testing. The Road Manager Carlsbad, Road Manager Artesia, and Sandpoint Manager all have equal authority to direct your work schedule at any time.
Requirements
- THIS POSITION REQUIRES A COMMERCIAL DRIVER'S LICENSE
