About The Position

Capital Materials is looking to hire a Heavy Equipment Operator for our Ozark, MO Quarry. RESPONSIBILITIES: Operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner under varying weather conditions, while exposed to dampness, fumes, dust, electrical, mechanical, and traffic hazards. Being knowledgeable in the operation of multiple pieces of industry-related equipment. Routine maintenance on the equipment, including keeping equipment clean and operable. Communicate with the foreman and coworkers to the daily job specifications. Perform general labor duties when necessary. Operate power-driven machinery such as jackhammers, tampers, or other similarly sized equipment. Operates one or more of the following pieces of heavy construction equipment skillfully, safely, and in accordance with traffic laws and regulations: rock cutters, front-end loaders (four cubic yards and over), bulldozers, and other lightweight, medium-weight, and heavy-duty equipment. Work with a labor crew when not operating equipment. Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary. Work with powered and non-powered hand tools (i.e. rakes, shovels, etc.). Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record.
