About The Position

Safely operate and/or have the ability to operate various equipment including excavator, front loader, bulldozer, or other heavy equipment and/or steer equipment to bale, load and move waste material. You’ll be behind the controls of excavators,front end loaders, water trucks, or other equipment, ensuring our facility runs like a well-oiled machine.

Requirements

• Hands-on Experience: You know your way around an excavator, backhoe, or compactor.
• The Right Mindset: You show up on time, follow instructions, and don't need someone hovering over your shoulder to get the job done right.
• Toughness: You’re comfortable working outdoors 100% of the time in the Florida elements and can handle the physical nature of the yard (lifting up to 50 lbs).
• Safety First: You treat every site like it's your own backyard—safe, clean, and organized.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy gear to bale, load, and move waste materials.
• Perform daily "pre-flight" inspections and basic maintenance (greasing/fluids) to keep your equipment in top shape.
• Use two-way radios to coordinate with the ground crew and office to keep the day moving efficiently.
• Clear debris from tracks and gear mechanisms daily—because a clean machine is a fast machine.
