Heavy Equipment Operator
About The Position
A Heavy Machinery Landfill Operator includes the following responsibilities: Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, compactors, and excavators to move, compress, and cover waste in a landfill. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, reporting any defects or repairs. Ensure safety compliance by adhering to safety policies and procedures, and monitoring waste for unacceptable materials. Maintain cleanliness of the landfill and equipment, and ensure proper waste disposal practices. Possess relevant qualifications, such as a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience operating heavy equipment.
