About The Position

Earth Systems is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator with a Class A CDL to support environmental remediation, site construction, and industrial services projects across the Midland energy services region. This role involves operating backhoes, loaders, dozers, skid steers, and other earthmoving equipment to perform excavation, grading, demolition, and site preparation. The position also requires transporting equipment between job sites using CDL-class vehicles. This is a full-time, field-based position with consistent hours, overtime opportunities, and long-term growth potential in a safety-focused organization.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in good standing.
  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment in construction, remediation, or oilfield environments.
  • Ability to travel regionally and cross state lines as project needs require.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to: Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Climb ladders and access equipment safely. Work outdoors in extreme weather and industrial environments.
  • Must pass: Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review Background check Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with backhoes, excavators, loaders, and dozers.
  • Background in oilfield, roustabout, environmental cleanup, or industrial construction.
  • Familiarity with: Equipment maintenance Hydraulic systems Hand and power tools Jobsite safety practices
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy construction and earthmoving equipment including backhoes, loaders, dozers, excavators, and skid steers.
  • Perform excavation, grading, trenching, demolition, and site preparation activities.
  • Support environmental remediation, oilfield, and industrial service projects.
  • Load, secure, and transport equipment and materials using Class A CDL vehicles.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
  • Follow OSHA, DOT, and company safety procedures at all times.
  • Complete field documentation, inspection forms, and jobsite checklists.
  • May be required to spot and or help the field staff with other field duties when needed.
  • Work approximately 55–60 hours per week, including overtime and weekend work when required.
